JGFC Chain Reaction

At the end of the day Winsford have a ground. We have seen how hard it is to get one these days. I'd much rather have a ground like Winsfords than not one at all. They will always have the potential to develop it. It's interesting as well how many 'groundhoppers' comment in a positive way about the Barton Stadium being a proper ground.
I would also add what a fantastic job the ground gang have done and continue to do.
So Kidsgrove, Flixton, Stafford, Wincham minor, Barnton and goodness knows where next.
I'm glad we went to Winsford and have been there sometime. We'll never be happy until we have our own place but Winsford rather than taking groundhopping literally will do for me any day.

If they concreted behind the goals, not a massive job, it would be a great little ground. Grounds where you can't stand behind the goal always struggle for atmosphere.

I'm sure that suggestion has been raised before and there's an issue with carrying out the work.

I'm sure I've heard something somewhere about someone with a concreting company willing to put money into football club development. ;)

I suppose it comes down to the fact that how much money are we prepared to put into someones elses ground as despite our very good relationship with Winsford we are still tenants.

JGFC fans doing what they do best, slagging off other clubs grounds.:confused::banghead

Maybe they should be reminded that it was in fact Winsford who proposed them to be allowed into the Premier league at the AGM cup.

A great night of p.issing off the locals

I see on their Forum the JGFC fans are belittling the local Barnton residents who have had the audacity to complain about the "industrial" language used during their 4-0 defeat against our landlords.

1874 are far from perfect in this regard, but I would hope that we would be a little more circumspect and gracious with local residents and their landlords than dismissing them with a "What do they expect living next door to a football ground"

Typical Vics fans missing the point completely. It's up to Barnton residents to take it up with the Parish Council, there seems to be a number of unhappy residents.

Dewdrops response to JGFC's very bad reputation is....

Talked to someone who was at the Barnton game today, had been a lifelong Vic's supporter said that the humiliation he experienced yesterday was the worst he can ever recall, apart from the result the language used by the HOME team to each other was absolutely disgraceful..
Colin comment is obviously an attempt to lay of this laughable result !!.

The one consistent theme over the past few years when dealing with JGFC and their official spokespersons is that it is everyone elses fault, in this case it is the fault of the local residents for living next door to a football club or bizarrely the fault of 1874 for some reason, but as I cannot understand their official spokespersons posting (I think that I shall wait for the English version to come out)

I think that if JGFC wish to mend fences with the local community the first thing they need to do is stop Col'in being their official spokesman and perhaps a little humility wouldn't go amiss.

"Humility" translates in the mind of another JG poster on the NG site into calling those raising concerns "moaners". Been taking lessons from Coli'n
