Nothing wrong with that at all...except they obtained over £5000 fraudulently!!

Its pretty obvious, someone has stumped up the cash to meet the deadline and will be repaid by the just giving money when it gets paid ! nothing wrong in that, Rushe is not involved now in any way so it is just fans trying to save their club.
It's against JustGiving rules, money has to go directly to the project cause has stated... It can't go to a third party.

I've got to disagree CJ. The JG money has been raised through deception. They weren't trying to save the club they were trying to stop the double relegation. Do you really believe people from all over the country would've donated just to prevent that?

This has been purly intentional, they have deceived the general public into thinking they had 48 hours to save the club. When in actual fact they had 48 hours to raise £5,000 to repay a third party loan.

NVFC always had the funds to pay off the creditors in full.
The 'Just Giving' fund raising was a scam to raise money to cover most of this seasons operating costs.

If Nicki, the true voice of reason on here says that, they've done something bad!

So does that count as fraud?

Incorrect. The money goes to the person who registered the site. That person can use the money however they want to.

Where you create a JG Crowdfunding Page we will also collect your title (if you choose to provide it), date of birth, telephone number and personal bank account details.

After a fashion they can. JG insist that the funds raised go to the cause as advertised, but they rely on the public to monitor this, they do not proactively check it. That is how previous scams on JG in recent months have come to light - someone who donated sounded the alarm bells and it was discovered not to be legit. There was another case a few years back where someone was jailed for trying to raise funds to treat a sick child who didn't actually exist.

From a response to me by a JG rep to a query on this raised (might have posted this before, sorry):
Whilst unfortunately, there is no way for us to 100% guarantee that all the information on a Crowdfunding Page contains accurate or truthful information, every Page owner does have an obligation to spend the funds as promised on their page. Failing to spend the funds as described constitutes a breach of our Terms of Service and is a potential criminal matter.

So you don't see anything wrong in any of this......says all we need to know about mr witton!!

You went back watching them last season and paying for the privilege!!

Omg pot kettle black! lol
Old news (again). Nice to see you back (oops, now I'm lying!), you just can't stay away from a decent forum can you :oops:.

Seems to me like they did have the money - JG won't have handed anything over yet - not least because the page is still active. At best the JG funds will be paying back a loan provided to the club to meet the Weds deadline.
Whatever the rules are it's just so amoral to be doing that!!
Presumably anything over the £5k needed will not be claimed/given to a worthy cause?
