JRFC Aftermath

The original page asking for £5,000 to prevent them folding is still going and currently has £3,337 and there's been a second page started with a target of £15,000 (that has no donations yet)

So they've got two JG sites running at the same time. Is that allowed?

Message of support seems to be going round very rapidly on twitter from the likes of ex players to non league league clubs such as Barnton and Altrincham

Frustrating though people giving there hard earned cash to help save a club when they have little idea about all the wrong doings

Scroll down the just giving page, and you will see that one of the donors is a certain Robert Astles, secretary of a certain WUFC.

Brainwashed or just simply deluded

So according to Ian Egerton the FA, NPL, NWCFL and NVFC's Dave Thomas are liars.
   o_O :woot :wtf :banghead

Then again it makes sense, Ian Egerton is the author of the misleading, deceiving, potentially fraudulent JustGiving donation page.

Well done them!! They've misled people by stating they will "fold" if they don't raise the money when in fact, it's only to save a double relegation.
Those who have given will realise what a bunch of liars are still running the club who will use all means possible to get their own will regardless of who gets cheated along the way!
Funny that some from Barnton have given hoping to keep the club going and get their rent.....my how they are going to be disappointed at some stage this season!!
Nice to see they have some consistency though......whoever runs the club these days is prepared to lie their way to profit.......priceless!!

At least they have now published a long-term business plan, aka the second JG page asking for a further £15K.
However, it appears that this second begging bowl has now been withdrawn. Maybe JG have objected to them flooding their site with different appeals. In which case, even the £5K will merely be a stay of execution.

At the very least with their misleading JustGiving page they should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

JustGiving's response to concerns about certain economies with the truth ...
"Whilst unfortunately, there is no way for us to 100% guarantee that all the information on a Crowdfunding Page contains accurate or truthful information, every Page owner does have an obligation to spend the funds as promised on their page. Failing to spend the funds as described constitutes a breach of our Terms of Service and is a potential criminal matter."

How does that work in the case of NVFC?
Does the crowd funder give the money to the administrator who then pays the creditors with it? If so, surely, he is eligible for a cut of the money as expenses. Or does is the money paid directly to the creditor? Again, won't that increased his workload & bill?

And will the FA be happy to wait 10 days to Justgiving to pay out?
