Salisbury and Hereford

Midlands TV news tonight says Hereford are close to going out of business as creditors voted against the CVA

We should offer any assistance we can to HUST, make sure they move in the right direction.

FAN OWNED IS THE WAY FORWARD.

The latest (fairly meaningless) statement from the FA on Salisbury ...

Meanwhile I've renamed the thread Salisbury and Hereford! ;)

Meeting the criteria? It would be a helpful to reach a conclusion as to who actually owns the club now?!!! I'd have thought the chances of finding them a senior league to play in the area are slim to none aren't they Alan? Perhaps a junior Saturday league or a Sunday league is their only viable option this late in the day?

Southern League suggesting that Hereford will continue to fulfil fixtures despite the fact it is readily accepted that they will (not might) be liquidated on September 1. Seems a complete waste of time and reflects badly on the competition. The SL have made enough of a mockery of the league with it's overly flexible approach since the whole debacle began.

I'll give Edge the credit for posting this first link in the Weymouth thread ...

The "alternative Salisbury owners" posting about the demise of Touzer and the adminstration which Salisbury have ended up in ...

Plus the local paper's news report on this development ...

And a player's perspective ...

Best quote from a mad chairman ever?
...,the talks and offer to one direction Star Nial Horan to join my club as a player/vice chairman in exchange of shares are true and valid and took place in W hotel in Barcelona,Spain during his Band’s tour but he turned it down citing various reasons including his loyalty to Derby County

Wouldn't be surprised if Graham Bean is involved, that would be the icing on the shit cake.

He got kicked out at Leeds a week or so ago after disagreements with the owner. He's a free agent again now. Keep up! And take cover.

Both Hereford's and Salisbury's sorry tales on BBC5 Live Investigates (in connection with a look at the Fit & Proper test) today. Starting at around 40 minutes in, via the iPlayer
