Am not sure if promotion should be an aim this season especially after the players that have departed in the last few days could be more of a rebuilding job again just a thought
Not sure if much of a rebuilding
job is required,Would have liked to have kept Mitch and Bailey but they can both be replaced, Look at the teams that finished above us last season they didnt have Mitch and Bailey and scored a hell of a lot more goals than we did,

I'm not convinced promotion is likely but we should still have that aim otherwise what's the point of even kicking a ball this season
Why arent you convinced, Josh?
We saw plenty of encouraging signs at the back end of last season after Street left. No doubt Wayne and Paul will continue to progress over the pre season now they have a chance to build their own squad that can play the way they want it to.
Because we still had Tom and Mitch, we've lost the best CB in the league and one of if not the best striker, I also think Tyler will be a big miss as he had some similarities to Wardy if played in an attacking midfield position rather than on the wing like last season, I know people keep saying about that's how it is at this level but you can't keep losing your best players season after season and expect to progress.
Completely behind the lads and management but I have a lot of hope rather than confidence this season
We've got Adam Whitlock- from what I saw he was a class above Tyler, who was quite often very much hit and miss. Not to put pressure on him as he's only young, but the attacking players are still at the club.
We've also got McGowan- if he had the same game time as Bails he would have scored the same, if not more. McGowan is the best finisher in the league, and that's an opinion held by more than myself.
Hind- played out of position the whole of last season, and still chipped in with over 15 goals.
And of course, not forgetting that we have Mark Jones
Most say that Ryan Cox is the best finisher and deadliest striker in the league. Scores 40+ goals every single year that he plays enough games. He's still only a kid and is destined for much greater heights than our league.
Mark Jones is the best player in the league, at the back, midfield or upfront. This Mitch guy wasn't even your best defender, Mark Jones was/is. And he's a midfielder.
Very tough league in prospect in this year, probably the toughest in many years.
Any departures from Runcorn Ste?
