JGFC to return to Wincham Park

No way it would be an embarrssing u turn for witton, or are they that desperate for cash

Who's paying for It? Because there's no way on this earth that this self proclaimed fan owned club can afford it.

Does that leave the door open for us to look into a ground share with Barnton? I've always personally felt it would be a better option as obviously closer to Northwich than the BS

Why?
They had a gate of 87 today. Why move to a bigger, more expensive stadium?

Unless Townfield Lane doesn't meet the ground criteria for next season

Strange time to announce it. On the evening you almost made it to Wembley with a great crowd there. Then again looking at JGFC's usual suspects' twitter feeds, in their warped minds they probably see "going to Witton" as some sort of "victory". Go and win the league now lads!

Probably because JGFC aren't paying the rent.

Might be related to this article from when Wilkes and Co were at Padiham.
Padiham refused the financial assistance but we know JGFC fans better than anyone and that offer would make them have hallucinations of the Conference National.

Padiham probably turned it down because they're not deluded but hey ho, they've got the right club now!

The JGFC Guidebook to Easy Fan Ownership

1. Buy club off Administrator for £1 and raise creditors costs through JustGiving.
2. State that the club is now fan owned because that's actually true... Owned by one fan.
3. Get an ambitious management team to buy their own success because the NWCFL is below their potential.
4. Inflate the gates to give the impression that the club is popular.
5. Convert to a Community Benefit Society but keep it secret within the special clique, don't want any riff raff.
6. Agree a two year groundshare deal with a local rival to give them hope of some financial sustainability.
7. Breach a groundshare deal with the local rival to screw them over at their lowest point by making them feel inferior.
8. Accept financial assistance from unkown source to pay rent for better facilities because this new fan owned club has ambition to get out of the NWCFL because it's below their potential.
9. Blame everything that has happened in the past on a proper fan owned club to gain favour and win back hearts and minds.

Is this the Supporters Direct Fan Ownership Model or the Jim Rushe Model?

Call it an overblown sense of their own worth, call it having a misplaced sense of entitlement, call it underestimating what it takes to get out of this league, call it overestimating the local public's wish to flock through the gates, call it appeasing a new ambitious (for themselves) pair of white knights, call it mistaking an offer of funding as a gesture of genuine goodwill, or call it sheer naivety. You choice - pick one, or more, or indeed all.

Ultimately however, they remain an irrelevance to the people of Northwich, a mere pimple on the face of local football.

I would still like to have this situation clarified by a Witton statement as according to the NWCFL league rules they must be notified prior to 31st March each year where each club will be playing in the following season. An agreement or contract must be in place for the league to be notified of any changes - which means prior meetings have taken place and formalised with a contract. So what have Witton got to hide let`s be having a statement as I`m sure SOME of their fans who don`t care where the money comes from would be glad to hear that their future is safe for another year.

Best thing we can do is not talk about it.

The only way Vics get publicity is if we talk about it and people get wind of it.

Look at the last time they were there, all of 50 people in Wincham Park. Hope Wilkes and his mate have deep pockets.

It’s not clear to me what Vics get out of the move... apart from them thinking they’ve got one over us.

Here's an apt replacement for their current Brighton-based "local" sponsors - relates as much to the in-name-only fan-owners as to the new in-all-but-name owners ...
