Counties Watch 23/34

That’s the three points they won gone then.
Not sure but Shea wasn’t in goal for Burscough

Bury have gone top & Wyth Town are now 2nd.
Wyth (ex-ams) are 3rd but with 2 games in hand

Town, featuring George Boyd, hammered the Ammies on Boxing Day

Kendal Town players & fans are stuck in the Isle of Man after their draw on Saturday.
The next flight might not be until Wednesday!

Bury 10-1 Skem yesterday!

It's looking like a 4 way fight now with Chadderton able to catch Bury if they win their games in hand.
Wyth (Ammies) in the best position but Wyth Town have points on the board

And the circus that is Skem saw Pascal sin-binned during their defeat at IoM

Assuming the poster is correct (and to be honest he’s generally there or thereabouts with what he says) then with the potential for as many as 25 clubs traditional Counties clubs jostling for places within the fixture list for 24/25 season clearly something has to give and there will be a number of unhappy members facing lateral movement*
* this taking into account that ‘74 and/or Hednesford are Midland League bound anyway. Brocton could win the South and logically follow, but equally it’s not impossible that they end up in the playoffs and lose 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

Cheadle & Wyth are tipped to move to the Midland league as they are the furthest south.

Wyth might escape by winning the league as Bury have lost two in a row

Winsford are off the bottom of Div 1 S following this statement from the league

The North West Counties Football League has sought clarity from The FA regarding relegation positions in the First Division South following the resignation of Ellesmere Rangers prior to the start of the current playing season. As Ellesmere Rangers were members of the League at the League AGM in June, they are considered members for this season despite resigning. As a result, they will be added to the First Division South League table and will officially occupy the bottom place within the division. This is now reflected in the League tables from today.

And only one down this season I think.

Wyth (ams) lost today but remain top and have games in hand on Bury & Wyth Town
