JGFC to return to Wincham Park

Not that I'm in the least interested in Chelsea, Man City and the rest of the Premier Lg clubs, but I doubt their owners see their investment as a gamble. And they are owners as well as investors - so are NV finally recognising they have sold their souls (again) to outside money and have given up on the sham of fan ownership?

Quality signing to be fair and given it’s only June 2, it’s on a contract basis, otherwise they are in danger of revealing their hand too soon if it hinges on simply signing and lodging a registration form at the end
They’ve signed John Connelly from City of Liverpool now. Apparently COL ouldnt match the offer from Vics!!!
Money talks again.

It's absolutely staggering that all their fans are congratulating the management team on these recent signings but not one of them has got the brain's to ask where the finances are coming from.

Where what money has come from all are free signings. The squad was down to it bare bones towards the end of the season, if Vics' don't sign anyone then then will have no team for next season as some players have left.

Ok, TGS - so the players may have come in on 'free transfers' but they will still want to be paid either on contract or 'expenses'.

If COL can't afford to pay the contract, or the expenses on the gates they are getting, then I would wonder how Vics are able to afford on the gates they get...... unless of course it's being (ahem) funded elsewhere..... ever get that feeling of deja vu?

No not really Vics' wage bill is at it's lowest level probably in my 30 years of watching the Vics', you probably don't understand that players have been released to make way for any new players coming in. The way how you guys are carrying on its like we have just signed a player for a million and on hundred k a week.

Typical reply from a head in the sand Vics fan. I’ve been told Connelly was on £80 a week at COL. Vics have obviously offered more. It’s Pickup’s money and yes they can do what they want or see fit with that money but the big question is what are Vics going to do when that money runs out? Or indeed if Wilkes and Pickup get a job offer at a higher ranked club. They’ll be off like a shot to start a “project” there because they are only in it for themselves. Enjoy next season head in the sand Vics fan because it won’t last long and you will be back up sh.t creek without a paddle yet again

That you have a "wage bill" at all for a club in the NWCFL says a lot. That you seem willing to offer players contracts says even more. Unless of course you are merely ignoring player registration dates and jumping the gun by announcing "new signings" ahead of the date.
We know you've had a clear-out, but by my maths you're going to need an awful lot of "sponsorship" to make up for the absence of match-day income.
Hope fan control was good while it lasted. I'd keep Just Giving bookmarked if I were you.

Quiet right Dr Marshall yes we have have some fundraisers pencilled in already over the next few months. We will be getting of our watzits rather than sitting behind our computers slagging off people all the time

The joys of working from home. Though I can't recall slagging anyone off. Just raising a few (awkward?) questions and stating a few (unpalatable?) facts.

But do keep us informed, it helps to keep this particular fundraiser going ... ;)

Any suggestions on a nice holiday destinations, if you guys are saying someone is going to be paying all our bills for us next season's then we will have a nice golden pot of money at the end of the season with all the revenue the club make during the season.

For your club's sake I hope that with that fantasy economic forecast you are not let anywhere near the club finances. We did a rough budget calculation for you this time last year - look it up.

No one mentioned someone paying all your bills TSD, just the crucial ones? ;)

Just to point out that Connolly was offered reduced terms at CoL due to injuries and reduced stats ie his appearances and goal returns, which he rejected fair enough and is now on £160 a week at Vics, whcih is a big improvement on what he got with the purps.

Camozzi wasn't offered improved terms and I believe has now doubled what he was paid by CoL.

Both are really nice lads but Vics are paying a big premium in order to convince them to go and play in front of 120 people.

Wish people could collaborate the stories so many variations of bs I'm losing my roof. Also Vic's average last season was 144 not much less than what you guys were averaging towards the end of the season

144 average, don't make me laugh!!! That's thanks to all the away fans from the likes of Linnets, COL and us :) There's only one person talking bs here TGS and it's not an 1874 fan :)

So you've now managed to rule yourself out as club statistician as well as club treasurer. Keep going.
