Mid Cheshire Cup draw

It means nothing to Witton were playing a new team from Winsford (you may as well be 2012 Over ! ) In the smallest cup going ! It will be a nothing game even if you do manage to beat our Ressies ! Still it's at WP so it will at least be on.

No its just what we will do and It's just likely that the reserves will be good enough probably to beat you lot they are about the same level - Sunday league.

You should watch a few NWCL games before you say it's Sunday League. The quality is much better than you think and it's an insult to brand it in such terms.

Come on 74! :scarf:

Why do you Wittoner's come on here and try to insult 1874?,could it be that you are jealous of our success.By the way Wincham is not in Witton ward of Northwich,so maybe you should change your name to Wincham Hypocrites.
Toddy, witton had a run of results near the end of last season that just kept them up.
This year they are at the bottom end again fighting relegation.
Players haven't been paid and they are that desperate for money they are letting vIcs back again after swearing never to do business with them again!
The idiot above who to forget his own teams short fall has to come on here and insult a league who's current 16th place team gave them a good rodgering in the fa cup, and is already making poor excuses because he is that worried otherwise he wouldn't even bother to be on here!
In those same two years we have won a promotion, and are pushing for another.
We may not have a ground yet, but when we do it will be funded by a solid financial base and WE won't be relying on other teams to keep us from going bust!
Let him have his little childish play, he obviously has time to spare between homework!!
There may be evo stick premier football at WP next season, but it will probably the team playing in green and white that provide it!!!

Sunday League !!, the way WA are playing currently they will probable joining us !!.

Don't rise to them let's just get on with our business

Do Witton Albion FC own their own ground or are they paying tennants?

Witton own the ground fully, pay all bills and wages when due, have a small amount of working debt and that has been reduced year on year, we pay what we can afford and whilst its a ltd Co its the club fans who own the shares and the board regularly communicate to the fans on key issues- no problems.

You sure about owning 100% of the ground? Not questioning your belief, just heard otherwise.

Yes I do and our constitution is written such no single shareholder can be decisive that was written in to protect the club from predators and as a small shareholder confirm we 100 percent own the ground and its not belief its a fact ! we get a financial report every year at the on time AGM and usually have meetings in between to update us.

So Witton Albion FC and Wincham Park is 100% owned by the shareholders?

"They'll sing all night"

Yes we will, don't for get the drum.

:scarf:

Witton Albion is the ltd company and the ground is an asset of it and therefore in control of the shareholders of which there are quite a few - 99 % of who are fans.

C.J As you say 99% of your shareholders are fans but do those 99% fans own 99% of the shares?.

I believe that there are two shareholders owning the vast majority of shares. Don't know the % but the two are Mike Worthington and Terry Warrender.

No there are a few larger shareholders but the fans own enough to hold the balance of power according to our rewritten constitution shortly after us coming out of receivership.

This is not meant to be a 'point scoring' post CJ. Don't you think that local football needs to look at itself rather than individual clubs?
You have just gone through 2 years of watching Vics self destruct at the VS followed by 3 years of being the only club in town. Your gates have not gone up significantly and you are short of money now. One problem you are stuck with (as were Vics) is that people don't want to travel to Wincham other than on match days so revenue streams are extremely limited.
Vics rent will buy some breathing space and when 1874 are more established and can financially plan further ahead they will replace Vics as the tenants to get you more off the bar and catering outlets. That, however, will not last and at that point you could have some difficult decisions to make. At that point the ghost of Warrender may come back to haunt you?
The next few years could be quite interesting.
