Sad to hear of the death of Terry Murphy, particularly well-known to the oldies amongst us who were a part of the happier days of Northwich Vics in the mid 80s.

A true supporter in all senses of local football and a dedicated servant of the local community.

Yes Alan, very sad news. He was a no nonsense defender in his playing days, and a welcome spectator at 1874 games.

Saddened to hear of this, known "Murph" for a great many years having played with and against him, a great sourse of info on local football.

When Murph tackled you usually stayed down, until you saw the trainer running on with the galvanised bucket filled with ice cold
water and a sponge the size of a sliced loaf !!!

Northwich, and Mid Cheshire, has lost a legend. A great football and community man.

A really nice guy to talk to and I know, hugely respected.

Our thoughts go out to his family. We will recognise Terry on Tuesday, before our game.
