Rossington FA cup

Good performance and goals, albeit the first was a dreadful mistake by their goalie. Tannoy would not work today, there appears to be a large break in the feed wire. At least I made no errors with the new players names!
Important bits. Golden goal (20 minutes) and 50/50 (61516 (I am pretty sure)) were both claimed. Crowd 335. we got 3 yellows, not sure if they got any.
 
Absolutely brilliant today, man for man we were excellent. For me Blake, Kenny, Kev Spinelli, and Ozzy were top top class. The whole team deserve praise for a great performance, especially after one competive game. It's a long time since I have seen us play on the front foot and so aggressively, we were a threat all game.

Greens lets look ahead we are in a far better place under Rory, very exciting times ahead 💚

First time watching us today and I liked what I saw, yes the real work starts on Tuesday but that was a very impressive performance in terms of how we moved the ball with pace and were aggressive out of possession to win the ball back, a number of players look really impressive including Harry and Kevin up front as well as Blake in midfield and Kenny out wide looks a top player, we were also solid defensively even though they didn't really offer a lot going forward and Max in goal I thought was loud and communicated well with the defence, obviously it's going to get much tougher from here but if we play the same way as today I think we can cause a few problems for teams this season

Agree with you Les. The more difficult stuff starts in earnest on Tuesday, but did what we had to today with a great deal of ease.

Playing 4-4-2 was a refreshing change and gave the side a nice balance. Some good performances from many of the debutants,& particularly Kevin, Harry, Elliott, Blake
 
A decent performance on Saturday including some nice attacking football and some promising performances.
I think we all realise though that there are more sterner tests ahead starting at Newcastle Town on Tuesday night.
All the same it was good to get a win in F A Cup at home at last. And another home fixture in next round.

Horbury is located just to the south of Ossett and play in the NCEL Premier league.

They currently sit in 3rd place with 3 points from 3 games.

Last season they finished in 16th spot, 2 places below last Saturday’s opponents Rossington Main
