Prediction League - AFC Darwen (H) - NWCFL - 27th Aug

A lot better today and it was great to see that we hardly hoofed the ball aimlessly up field and we tried to build an attack from the back to the front which is the way it should be done and if we can keep that up then we'll be ok this season, was great to see Ryan back today but gutted that he got injured early in the game.

disappointing attendance and its a shame that a lot of people missed what was a LOT better performance from the lads.
 
Decent second half performance today and with a little luck we would've comfortably added to the tally today. Fingers crossed for a repeat performance midweek and a big three points gained against Runcorn Town ;):scarf:
 
Thought we played well throughout the game today. Darwen were tough to break down and with a little more luck we could have scored in the first half.

Turning point was the substitution of Mitch for Rick B and going three at the back... brave decision by Wayne and Paul, but what a substitution!! Bails changed the game, almost immediately we scored our first and then played with a lot more confidence and brave attacking play... Stu was the 'official' MOM, but throw into the mix Paul, Matt Russell, Matt Woolley, Tom (who never stopped running and chasing back) but for me Scott was the best player on the park, you could see what the goal today meant to him and great to see him start a game!

Going to miss a few now with going on holiday... but will be a twitter follower for the next few games..... well done to all the team and management today.... good day!!

Bet your glad we had him on dual reg now Josh! Great to see him back.

Good performance today, they made it difficult to break them down playing with 9 behind the ball. If we'd got a goal first half that would have been it, done and dusted long before

Keeping the faith with these lads - itll take time for us to get up to full speed but when we do well he banging them on regularly, I'm sure of it. Gwaaaan the greens
