Pre-season stuff

Middle of the ocean, Carlisle Bay when our 2nd was scored!

Will be back for Saturday and the FA Cup game, make sure everyone is there and behind the lads. Huge game!

You haven't been for some time Nicki. That is par for the course! To be fair to me, I spoke to Richard Bush when i read the score was 4-2 and he was equally surprised! I thought that had been earlier in the half, not right at the death.

I thought the ref was quite lenient yesterday and allowed all sorts of pushes and pulls, and also 2 handballs by Garforth in their own penalty area, the first of which Harry complained about.

There was a Garforth fan on Twitter who didn’t see the goal either. You certainly weren’t alone
 
On Saturday I shall be taking the long and winding road that leads me back to your pitch .
Big day for me as it will be the nearest game to my 80th birthday in a few weeks time, and means I have been watching football in Northwich for over 70 years. I can remember watching in 1956/57 whe Vics won the league.
I can even remember a particular game against Wellington, when Peter Burns crossed just over the fence from where I was standing for Len Barber to score. Then there was a big row as Welling ton fans claimed that as he had passed it backwards, he must have been offside when Len kicked the ball . Vics fans did not agree and there was a big row- probably the first time I saw adults arguing.
Anyway Vics won 4-0 that day and I'll settle for that on Saturday as an early birthday present.
