The League Management Committee has been advised that a request has been made to the FA by the Step 5/6 Focus Group to consider extending the season beyond the agreed end date.

Why the need to defer the decision until March 1st? Surely it must be apparent to the powers that be, that an extension is imperative given how far off the pace some clubs have found themselves in being able to complete their fixtures?

... and given that some estimates see it being several weeks before land recovers from the downpours and flooding (and that's once it stops ...)
