plenty of applications for next season, looks like the 1st div could finally have 22 teams.
Candidates so:
Prestwich heys
Sandbach United
Charnock Richards (hope they're prices are cheaper than the service station!)
Carlisle city
Whitehaven amateurs
More applicants than places so should be interesting!

If Carlisle and Whitehaven get accepted, there's surely no way either of them will be placed in the NWCFL, but the Northern League instead.

Apparently, Prestwich, Sandbach and Charnock are all expected to pass the ground grading. It'll be nice to have a few new teams stepping up.

Also applications from two newly formed teams - City of Liverpool who will play at Bootle and Oswestry Town who will play at TNS.

You can do Whitehaven in just over 2 hours. Get off at Junction 36, then can follow the A roads or venture across the fell roads to shave off some time. It's a decent drive to be honest. Do it a lot for work. Carlisle Is just a boring motorway journey
