Thank you everyone who turned up at Townfield this afternoon. It was a privilege to see how the club has progressed in our short 10 years.
Wiith numerous faces from the past, some gracing the pitch but many others who made the effort to attend just to be part of the day it says a lot for how our club 1874 Northwich FC is held in such affection by many.
To also have representatives of our juniors and walking football sections present reiterated how 1874 was set up to benefit the community as a whole, not just the 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this afternoon such a success. Without our Volunteers we could not do what we do.
A date and venue will soon be announced for our Fans Forum meeting. If you can, it is important that you attend. The club needs your views, input and ideas into how we ensure that 1874 continues to progress.
The work planning for next season has already started. There is very little respite for your management team or your Board members, but we need your help to continue with the work started 10 years ago.
Look out for upcoming news and once again thank you for your support today.

Steve, thanks to you and everyone who set it up. It was a fun day and good to see so many faces from the past. One or two bodies have changed shape but they still know how to play. For those who were not there and subscribe to the films, Wayne had the camera there today so hopefully footage should be available for you to see soon. The 2 assistant refs today were goose and Farside riff raff. TBH they were better than some we get for league games!

It was a cracking event and the fact that so many ex players came back was testimony to the high regard the club is held in by those lads.

MOTM for me was Conkie - some amazing saves!👍 Brans goal just showed how sweet a left peg he had. Adam
Foy - just watching him play, his touch, passing and positional play was lovely. I’m sure that we’d have won the NWCFL Div 1 that season if we’d been able to play him alongside Rick Bailey and Matty Ward!

Just so many players - like Stu Wellstead, Tom Bailey, Razza and others I’ve already mentioned- reminded me how many amazing players we’ve had turn out for us. And it was great to see lads there who didn’t play like the famous ‘Hare and Hind’ duo, Mitch and even the legendary Phil Coffin!

I bet there will be a few stiff and aching limbs tomorrow morning!!😉👍💚💚

They did miss Tom Bailey's handball in the build up to the first goal & Jack Woolley being a yard or two offside for the second goal though.

A top event though & hopefully an annual tradition

If you want to watch the full 90 mins then here's the link

If you've not seen the VEO output before then you can filter the footage.

Clicking the menu on the right - no.1 - brings up the highlights menu
It's showing 4 highlights (the goals) . Clicking Clear (no.2) will bring up all highlights
If you want to add your own filters. e.g. Just the goal kicks. Then Click the 3 dots (No.3) and under Event Tags you can filter to see what you want.
And finally No.4 - move the highlight panel to the right of the picture, or have it in picture.
