Jimmy Rolland scored a significant goal for Vics at Buxton in the Autumn of 1976. Who knew at the time that would be the start of the famous FA Cup run which saw progression to the fourth round proper that season.

Tez - think that the goal was at Nantwich.

He’d been signed from Buxton during the preceding season if I recall (I was only 10 at the time though!)

James you are correct, of course. Should’ve checked the TFAS instead of relying on my memory. Jimmy scored the two goals that defeated Buxton (at home) the previous season of course
