I have been given an idea by one of our members to run a football pontoon game of 21 goals or bust .
The idea to run a Premiership and Championship game total of 44 teams.
Objectives to be the first team to score 21 goals in each division . If you bust you are out of the round . ( League games only)

If everyone busts ,club wins it all.

If two or more teams win the winning pot is divided .

If the season ends without a winner the club wins .

Adjudicator will be myself and I will publish updates to the group(s) playing

Entry will be £10.00 per player £5.00 shared prize pot with 1874 so
£100 winner premiership & £120 winner championship .

WHAT DO I NEED . 44 PLAYERS ...WHOSE PLAYING ?

I'm going to bring this game back to the limelight and start this football pontoon game at the start of next season.
We have 22 teams (potentially) in our league and 21 teams above us in the Northern Premier league so i will do a draw based on the confirmed teams once we know for sure after the FA boundary confirmations.
This is very simple ,pay and that's it .
Every week i will publish the teams, scores , and who owns that team all in one spreadsheet .
This is based on an entry price of £20.00 & a 50/50 split with the winners .

We need all these teams taken please.

Football Pontoon how to play :
Same as the pontoon game , your team selected , need to land on 21 goals ...
Objectives to be the first team to score 21 goals in your division. If you bust you are out of the round . ( League games only)

This will be based on Northern League Premier 22 teams and Northern Premier West Division 22 teams .
Great way to support 1874 whilst hopefully drawing them out the hat as well.
Payments are based on £20.00 a head , each division.
Winnings : £200 each division ....

Give me a thumbs up commitment and i can collect payments later
44 players required i already have 4 confirmed.

Moving nicely now with further commitments , sold half of one league. wanted to get this one up and running 10 further players please.

It's very unlikely that your team wont play it's league fixture other than cup runs at the front end of the season .
It becomes very complicated when teams progress and teams out aren't playing league games due to progression.
That's simply down to draw and how it works. You have to enter into the spirit knowing that you're looking for your team to score 21 league goals only.
Some say that could be an advantage others argue it's a disadvantage.

To be fair to those teams selected playing cup instead of league games , the competition can be set to rule that the fewest league games played that land on 21 league goals . That means no teams are then disadvantaged. More reason to play.. :scarf:

Whilst we are all eagerly awaiting the 5PM news can i ask you all to support this not so new but to us new game, football pontoon .
I have done two divisions NPL Premiership and NPL West. I have so far 12 committed players so i at least want to get one division up and running before the start of the season.
For instance, imagine the disappointment of knowing you have drawn Vauxhall Motors !
Read the thread above how to play which is really simple pay and that's it , i will take care of everything else.
Give me a thumbs up and i will sort the payment later.
