Can anyone confirm whether our surprise promotion means we enter the competition a round later?

No change I'm afraid. Still need to qualify.

Yes, realised we have to qualify still, but surely there were a number of qualifying rounds last year and we would've started at the very first, be that extra prelim or prelim (can't recall how the Vase was organised). So, no change there then?

No EPQ round in the Vase. It starts with 1Q & 2Q before the 1st round, we will be entering at 1Q.

The only teams exempt from qualifying are those:

Relegated from Step 4
Top 4 finish in Step 5
Reached the 4th round of last years vase (also exempt from R1)
