Step 6 clubs will be eligible for the competition coming season on a ppg basis and only a small number can enter the Vase too
12 Step 4 NPL clubs will enter the FA Cup at the Extra Preliminary Round Stage too.
Wonder if these will be the clubs finishing in the bottom 12 positions?
Query whether they will comprise some of the promoted clubs (after all, each of the bottom 4 in the NPL Div 1 W, E and M finished ahead of them) and the third from bottom of each league.
My suspicion is that the FA will do exactly as they say - that all clubs from NPL step 4 will be included in a regionalised draw and 12 unlucky ones will be required to play at the EXP Round stage while the other 48 or so will be given a bye to the PR stage.
Hopefully the FA will produce the full rules for the 22/23 competition soon so all clubs at Step 4 know what the permutations might be.
But this is the FA we are talking about…..
