Directions	From Northwich, about 30 miles and 50 minutes (using Mersey Gateway bridge), about 40m and 50mins (M6 over Thelwall). Take M57 to end, where turn left onto A59. After approx.. 1m turn left at traffic lights into Park Lane. After approx. ½ mile turn right at traffic lights into Bridle Road. Take 2nd left (at traffic lights) into Vesty Road. Ground is at the top of the road.
Parking facilities	Limited on ground. Street parking, watch for double yellow lines and in some of the local building car parks.

Bus	58 Liverpool -> Netherton (Bridle Road / Hereford Road stop 0.2miles)

The performance for 75 minutes tonight was pretty much flawless in terms of an away performance at top of the league.

After that was anything but.

The first half was good as any we have played this season and Kenny and Evra were worrying them. Having said that Max made one cracking save and twice they swept down the left wing and sent in brilliant crosses which cried out for someone to put a finishing touch to them. Jim Simms goal was a cracker. We started the second in much the same matter and Kenny's goal was good.. Then Blake came on for Evra. We didn't seem to have the same verve. max got fouled and was down for a bit - did that affect him later? Then we just seemed to go to pieces. Not sure about the foul leading to their 3rd but it was a great free kick and after we made a quadruple substitution they got their 5th after a dreadful shirt pull on one of our players went unpunished but otherwise the ref was ok.
I am not euphoric but I think if we could play like that against everyone else we would be doing well. Also, Bootle have now played 10 won 10 and only conceded 7 goals, 3 of them tonight. I expected us to get beaten but we put up a good show until Evra went off.

The second goal (3-2) was huge as you could see momentum shift and Bootle started to create chances..

Think many would say put that level of performance in over the rest of the season and the results should look after themselves

Thought we did really well first half and was great to see us shoot on sight, second half after Yau went off our threat disappeared and there was only one side in it, hopefully we can bounce back at the weekend.

Well, where to even begin with that?

Scoreline doesn't reflect the game. I thought our 3rd would be the killer blow, but it seemed to galvanise them. I would say that at 4-3 down, 2 of their goals had blatant fouls for them winning possession in the build up. Then two in stoppage time when we overloaded to try and steal a point.

First half is the best half of football we've played in a long time.

If a team finishes above Bootle this season, then they will win the league.

Wasn’t at the game, but 5 goals in 15 minutes sounds crazy.

Doesnt matter how well you play, no hope of winning when that happens.

I do think this team has potential to be really competitive, but we really need to start picking up points now or we could be in trouble.

Well we really didn't deserve that result. But like Rory said to us as he went off. We must learn how to deal with set pieces against us. Until we do were always vulnerable.

Felt for Max at the end. He made some outstanding saves and was left so exposed for the last two. He really got clattered at 3-3 I think and was definitely being targeted by them.

Agree with what's been said. First half we were outstanding going forward but Max made 3 crucial saves also. Bootle were so quick but we seemed to get a foot in when it mattered.

In Dreamland when Kenny scored to make it 3-1 and looked at the clock! Surely we could last 15 mins? Evra going off was a big blow as Blake never really seemed to get into the game and our shape went to pot. Again didn't really understand the subs but who'd be a manager? As soon as they scored their third the writing was on the wall.

Another hard game on Saturday but if we can play like that first half and deal with long throws and corners we'll be fine! See everyone there.

Wasn't at the game so can't comment on performance but I'm finding it hard to share the same optimism as others are tbh, to lose that game from 3-1 up with 15 mins to play isn't acceptable and to concede 5 in 15 mins is a joke I don't care who it's against, it proves to me what I already knew that we have some talented attacking players as not many teams will go to Bootle and score 3 but defensively we are a complete shambles and I don't know how we're going to sort it when we can't even get the basics right, then on top of that we're also conceding stupid goals where the ball takes numerous deflections off our own players, it needs sorting asap or we're in trouble unfortunately
