Football can be so, so cruel.

Saints 1 up at home to Silsden until the 90th minute.

If it had stayed like this they would have pipped Barlick for 19th spot by a point and stayed in the Premier Division - if I recall, the only club to have done so since the NWCFL was formed in 1982.

They would have also moved to their new home back in the town as a Premier League club.

But pending the outcome of the now infamous AGM Cup Final, a last minute equalizer by Kevin Ryan has sent them down to Division One along with Bacup.

Bacup haven't gone yet!! They have 2 games left and are 6 points and 3 goals behind Barlick, lots to play for still :)

Bacup won 4-2 tonight, they take their survival fight to the final day.

Ashton away for them on Saturday, need to win by 2 clear goals to stay up, tough task but not impossible.
