Athletico Madrid won the Liga
Fulham got relegated
The team who were 2 goals down at half time in the FA Cup Final went onto win the cup

And

England won the World Cup!

2014 - All the above has happened. Can England really win the World Cup this year????

Edge, well spotted . Fulham got relegated at the end of season 1967/68. I should have checked (LOL). Anyway, I suppose you could say Fulham finished in the bottom 3 in 1966 and also in 2014 to draw a parallel. I still think that it is a spooky coincidence, but I think we would all be clutching at straws to think that England are capable of winning the World Cup in 2014.
