Sorry, but enough is enough, absolutely awful today, terrible in game management, changes yet again far too late. We were on the ropes from the first minute, their first goal was inevitable with the amount of possession they had. We carried this into the second half, where is went from bad to worse. Every single one of us is calling for Niall to be moved back to right-back, he doesn't know his best team so rotates far too much. I like the lad, but he needs to go now.

Unbelievably bad today. No sign of any improvement whatsoever- in fact the reverse is true.
Beaten to every 50/50 ,brushed off the ball far too easily , no cohesion and players obviously out of position.
I think all of Runcorns goals came from right back position with Ibeto all at sea and nowhere near Runcorns winger.
At this rate not be long before we are bottom. Already 6 points adrift of safety.
I could go on but have had enough.

Dreadful today. We made an average Linnets team look good. Easily our worst performance of the season.

We’re losing and make no changes until the last 20 minutes which I just can’t understand.

We have failed to sign a left back for weeks and are playing players out of position.

We are continually conceding goals off set pieces.

Everyone can see it. Something needs to change.

I reckon that’s the worst Linnets team I’ve seen and they stuffed us.
Max was man of the match, otherwise it could have been 6 or 7

Sam Mann looked good on the rare occasions we got the ball to him.

If we can’t find a left back can we find a right back? Mike Ibeto has been doing ok, but today he looked very much like a player out of position
And as mentioned corners are almost like penalties, we created very little & were outfought

We’ve got a left back that we shipped out on dual reg to Vics. It can’t be that hard to find one to at least set some order to the back line (which is where the main issue is atm). We’ve also lost one of our best cm’s in Blake which won’t be aiding us, but at this level you need to recruit well and keep players whilst nailing your system. I can’t see that we have a system other than conceding set pieces? How do we go from competing with the top teams to this within the space of a week or two?

Million miles off it, no desire, no will to win the game, they were average at best, just wanted it more, which you can’t accept.
Been the same last few games, we’re 3-0 down, going nowhere but still no subs put on, I like Rory as a bloke but far too easy for opposing teams.

Oh it's so easy and predictable to blame management when things are not going well. After all, it's the standard default position across all levels of football.
We need a this, we need that. Maybe ask the question how many players have been approached and for whatever reason haven't agreed to join the club. I'm sure that Rory is well aware of the need to strengthen positions. Actually bringing players in is a different issue.
It isn't management who aren't beating a defender to put in a telling cross. It isn't management who aren't strong enough to out muscle and defend their space at corners. It isn't management who give the ball away easily or fail to win 50/50 balls.
If the players we have aren't competitive at this level, fair enough. Many have never played at this level before and we are asking a lot of them. Building a new team to compete at this level was never going to be easy. Rory, the coaches and the players need our support in negotiating this step up.
They have mine.

Isn’t it the managers job to recruit, coach, set the tactics and motivate the players and ultimately move them on / replace if they’re not cutting it though?

I accept all that you say Steve however as a fan who rarely misses a match and is extremely loyal to 1874 I go to be entertained. At the moment this wish is a long way off. I only describe what I see on the pitch and at present it is a terrible watch.

It certainly is. I'm sure he would be more than happy to discuss whatever list of willing, capable and available players that you may have.

I can't disagree with you Brian. We all knew this year was never going to be easy, but it's still better than beating Highgate away.

Steady on guys, people are pointing out the blatant issues a bit too much on this thread (You’re not allowed to point out simple facts here sometimes as some don’t like it for some reason)

Backline is clearly a big issue - make that 10 games with a makeshift backline, with your best player out of position at LB and a CB surprisingly getting found out being played out of position at RB… not good enough, sign a ******* left back if Elliot isn’t nearly back… Everyone but Rory seem to see this and people need to stop trying to defend him allowing us to be without a LB for so long, while allowing one to go to Vics on Dual-reg.

Conceding so many poor goals and set pieces is shocking and needs addressing ASAP.

Maybe we lacked that needed experience and fight in the middle today?! Really miss the standards Jonah instils in that team by mere presence.

Annoyingly up until Congleton, I thought like others we have the overall squad that is not far off and nearly ready to compete and get some wins, that faith is slowly starting to wane however.

Seeing as it’s not my job and I don’t have experience or contacts at these levels, unsurprisingly I’m unable to assist somebody hired for those qualities. That’s the purpose of a good hire with knowledge and contacts (and ideally IMO experience at this level) isn’t it? Just to be clear Steve, I’m not calling for Rory’s head - merely stating what we can all see and we seem to have no issues in getting players in to fill other positions where I’ve personally thought we haven’t been lacking. What was promised was energy and fast, attacking football but have we seen much of that bar a few games?
