I have been surprised for a while how many fans Prescot Cables have had at every game this season. They have not had a gate below 300 and most gates are nearing 500 or above. Given their form on the pitch and size of the club I was puzzled until I did a little research.

I've put this in a thread of its own as I think it deserves further discussion.

I was thinking that the forum users could investigate what other clubs are doing to bring money in & copy the best ideas.
Big caveat - something like Easyfundraising is perfect as there's little work involved. Adding a new lottery would be a huge increase in workload & we have a limited number of volunteers.

Thoughts?

Good idea Edge…we really need to try and build on our support at home. Our current squad is the best in our history and current level we’re at is beyond all expectations to be honest. To develop and improve further depends on our fan base growing.
I like the U17 season ticket idea at Prescot, the youngsters are the future and attracting them in numbers will give us a healthy fan base going forward. I also like the idea of the other season tickets having an option to pay over 3 months at the start of the season. £40 in say in July, Aug and September seems to have worked considering their gates. I think the blue light scheme they had was probably a Covid one off one but again it has probably added to their gates.
Once we attract more fans they will hopefully spend in other ways too. We are currently the most successful team in mid cheshire given it is our first season at this level and that witton are struggling massively at the next level up. It seems the perfect time to generate a bigger fan base, the club and team deserve it right now… COYG
