Just bringing this back to the top, in what will be a nice, 'relaxed' night after tomorrow's friendly
 
Really hoping for a good turnout for this – I believe Streety has given the lads the night off from training for this event. Andy Simpson from the Guardian will be there to support the event so it will be great to back that up with a strong 1874 backing.

There has been a lot of changes this summer at 1874 – new coaches, new players, a change in direction on social media and and even though we’ve lost a few fan favourites who’ve moved on either to play at a higher level or to do their grocery shopping (Brandon) there is a real buzz around the club at the moment and a lot planned to go on behind the scenes. To attract some of the talents that we’ll see this season… this four-year-old club we support ain’t doing too bad.

Just a personal request if you’re still reading – there’s a lot of stuff going to be driven via social media. If you come across something, then do please ‘LIKE’, ‘SHARE’, ‘RETWEET’, ‘COMMENT’ even if it you don’t necessarily ‘like’ it. It takes a second of your time and each engagement reaches more of an audience – it’s just a simple way of spreading the word. The impact really is noticed, especially by sponsors and players.

And one other thing – it’s not been promoted for a while but the EASY FUNDRAISING tool is indeed such an easy way of fundraising for this club. If you shop online at amazon, eBay, book train tickets, flights etc… all you’ve got to do is go to those website’s via easy fundraising's website It’s an absolute doddle – there’s 42 of us signed up and we’ve made the club over £620.

Big thanks to Ian, Paul, Wayne, Stu and the lads for coming down. Very interesting watching the players complete their profile sheets and even more interesting answers. Not sure we will be able to publish all their comments!!

Gutted I couldn't make this,was going to try to come but 2 hours before got told we were going for a family meal out, wouldn't mind but don't really like them either. Hope everyone that made it had a great night. 1874 forever:scarf:
