To be fair to the linesman he was only 5 yards offside.

Red was harsh, but Craig shouldn't have got himself into that position in the first place.
 
How did the linesman not give their goal offside?it was not even close,did not realize just how far the player was from the other end.
 
Thanks for being so quick with this Chris. A quick look at the highlights confirmed what I thought this afternoon. Anyway, we won and we move on!
 
Wow, I don't know what was worse about the first goal, the lino not giving offside for it, or the fact that I thought he was on in real time!
 
That was one of the harshest red cards I've ever seen. Clumsy, yes. Through on goal, never!

As for the Maine Road goal, the linesman is fortunate that the highlights will self-destruct in a few days' time to expunge the evidence of his error.
