Fans Forum meeting

We will be holding a Fans Forum at Townfield, next Wednesday evening 7.00pm
Its a chance for supporters to put forward their thoughts on how we ensure 1874 conti6to progress positively both on and off the field.
As a club we would welcome assistance in a number of areas, particularly anyone who can help out with fundraising and assistance in pitch maintenance.
These are really important areas,
the club needs to increase income in order to compete with ever increasing costs and more help is needed to improve the pitch in order to give our team a better surface.
If you can attend, please do.
All ideas and offers of assistance are welcome, no matter how small.

We've just had two smashing events, the Legends day and the Presentation Evening. Both reminded me how special our club is.

We've now got work to do, to prepare for next season and for the future. I know supporters have ideas and opinions, so it will be good to hear them on Wednesday. To keep 1874 going in the right direction, it is important that you are there.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to attend tonight's Fans Forum.
Lots of good ideas and discussion on how we can continue moving 1874 forward.
I will put together a breakdown of ideas and initiatives in the next few days.
Looking forward to seeing some of tonight's ideas come to fruition.

A good night with some good ideas put forward.

A summary would probably be...

Barnton need a 25 year lease to apply for grants. e.g. new floodlights.
That's with the Parish Council to arrange the new one but it hasn't been a quick process.

To help improve the pitch we need a few pairs of hands during the week for an hour or two.
Same with the stadium gang - a few more hands on a Sunday would be a big help
And help with anything really, just to spread the workload around more.

To boost the playing budget we could ask for donations specifically for that

Increase attendances - bring a mate day, things around non-league day, international weekends etc., promote matches more

Fund raising - collaborations with local businesses, ground advertising.

And it's clear from last night the Board are running the club the right way.

Am not able to assist physically but can I attend for cakes and a brew as I used to d ?, would seem that I am to old for a op at 89 !.
