a) The only reason that the ESL was canned was because of Brexit? Really? So, how was this so?
b) Freeports. Lots already exist in Europe. So what was stopping the creation of more in the U.K.? Brexshit? I think not...
c) What was his third lie? Sorry, he tells so many I’ve quite lost track....
Freeports already exist in the UK, so it is a lie.

Not necessarily. Many existing freeports have become little more than shopping centres like Fleetwood. It all depends on the tax regimes that are applied to them and whether these would be allowed under competition rules within the EU

The most interesting poll to come out of today...

Actually, scratch that. Rejoin EU struggling to beat Count Binface in the London Mayoral election is more interesting

I think most people in the UK (apart from Sturgeon) have now written off the UK rejoining the EU - at least for a generation, which seems to be the new yardstick for a repeat referendum. It's quite clear that Labour need to focus on getting their own house in order and the LibDems are not far behind and are paling into complete insignificance

Read what Johns

“Nick Moar did not respond to Byline Times’ multiple requests for comment.” 🤫

But the fact that they already exist - however good or bad they may be - demonstrates that a) they were permitted when we were members of the EU and therefore b) Johnson is lying once again!

And as for the ESL? HTF he can connect the backlash of fans forcing the ‘big five’ clubs (plus Spurs..😂😂😂😉) to ditch their plans and the U.K. no longer being members of the EU is frankly mind boggling and yet another Johnson lie.

The whole depressing thing about these results is that there appears to be an increasing acceptance in this country that it is ok to lie as much as you want as you are increasingly unlikely to be challenged or held accountable for your mistruths. ☹️☹️😡

this pre-occupation with lies - which most people don't think they are - isn't winning you any votes, or hearts or minds. The more you bang on about something that has no crime scene just detracts from the argument you need to make. That race (like Brexit) has been run - and lost. Better get training for the next event !!

Therein lies the problem. Thanks to Johnson and his cronies lying on such a regular extent is that the basis of our society has fundamentally changed so that an increasing majority just blithely accept what he and the likes of the MSM say without questioning their message.

So a couple of questions for you. a) Can you pl explain Johnson’s assertion that being outside of the EU enabled the ESL to be stopped in ins tracks. b) that given that there are existing Freeport’s in the U.K, If you agree that he lied in saying that being a member of the EU prevented us from creating more...

But James the bigger question is does it really matter??

Who really gives a toss about the ESL and whether it would happen inside or outside the EU and if freeports have greater freedoms and more generous tax regimes outside the EU? People do not care. Are they lies intended to deceive and cause an alternative course of action to be taken - No. It's just irrelevant

What?

You are saying that it’s irrelevant that the Prime Minister of the U.K. is an inveterate liar?

Really?

And if, as you say, people just don’t care, then this country (or at least England) is completely f**cked!

Talk about an over reaction. Christ.
Does no one remember New Labour? Within a couple of months of the election they were taking millions of pounds in bungs from Bernie Ecclestone, making up dossiers as the basis for taking us to war and driving David Kelly to his death. Now I notice that Alistair Campbell has been taken on by GMB (after regularly holding court on most news channels) to interview government ministers and hold them to account. The irony is really quite astonishing.

James everything that you disagree with Boris on, is to you a lie and to others a difference of opinion. Your wasting far to much time and effort chasing after Boris when the bigger difficulties are elsewhere
