Have folded. The chairman clearly thrown enough money at it and the response from Barnsley-folk has been of dis-interest.
Ah well, it goes to show that whilst a Club Chairman can buy (a certain amount of) success in the short-term it takes more than a 5-minute wonder to keep the wheels on.

I like a flutter from time to time so which Club Chairman will get fed up next in the North - AFC Fylde, Fleetwood Town, Salford City????

Yet another salutory lesson for all those clubs built on the sand of being one man's transient plaything. The trouble is that clubs in that position will adopt the "could never happen to us" response and blithely carry on chasing the fairy tale.
