A one nil defeat in a tight game.

Both trialists looked decent & Jacob Hamman played for Salford
 
First friendly for me tonight so my first chance to see some of our new players and I have to say I was impressed with a number of players including the young keeper Allan, Diop Parra at right back looks a good strong player, Harry Walker in midfield as well as the two trialists on the wings also looked good imo
 
Decent performance overall last night then? Albeit a Salford xl, did it’s make up provide a good test for the lads?

I'd say so. It was pretty competitive for a friendly.

We created a fair few chances, mainly falling to the 2 trialists & played some good stuff.
 
And their first half goalie was very good. Man of the match in one half! He made at least 4 good saves, commanded his area well and looked very young.

Yes we didn't deserve to lose the game and probably could have won it but a draw would have been fair
