RACE NIGHT - SATURDAY 9 APRIL

We are delighted to be able to carry out Toddy’s wishes and have arranged a Race Night to raise much needed funds for the club but also just as important, to give us the chance to gather socially and raise a glass in memory of the great man. We have tried to gauge when the best time would be for this and with the virus rates decreasing and people having a little more confidence to do normal things, we are happy to move forward.

Toddy had made some initial arrangements over holding an event a couple of years ago however Covid got in the way, so we’ve picked up where he left it and we are all sorted.

Saturday 9 April, after our home game, at the Gladstone Club is the place to be. It will kick off at 7.30pm.

We are now looking for sponsors of races and horses and we will massively need ‘bums on seats’! So even if a race night is not quite your cup of tea, we still want to see you there!!!

Watch this space for further details and be prepared when we’re out ‘arm twisting’! Toddy will be smiling down, expecting this!

We have been in touch with his family and they are pleased and will be coming along.

We've still got a few horses that we need to sell, so if you would like to help then myself and Guy will be on hand on Saturday to sort and collect any money.

We really need a good crowd on the night, to help raise funds but also to make it a great social event. Even if it's not normally your 'cup of tea' we would love to see you. It's important to the club and it's important that we get chance to remember Toddy too, as he was at the forefront of our Race Nights and wanted this to happen

Just want to send out a huge thank you for the fantastic support of the Race Night so far. Thanks to everyone's generosity, all our races are sponsored and horses have owners. We have also received some very heart warming donations to cover the cost of the event. THANK YOU!

Let's hope we have a nice 90 minutes next Saturday afternoon and then a good crowd heads on to the Race Night, for an enjoyable social event.
