NPL watch

That third spot is dictated by points per game Edge. Worst records across Step 4 take the drop. Not sure how many though. Currently both Nantwich and Witton would be okay I think.

I think our posts crossed @Tez

Witton are bottom 2 so going down as it stands :)
Nantwich are the best of the 3rd bottom across the 4 step 3 leagues so safe at the moment.

Yes ?? Crucial game midweek for a Witton versus Ashton at Hurst Cross. A win would i’m sure be a big boost for Witton and perhaps pull Ashton further into the relegation fight.
More than happy to see Grantham take the drop, providing they end up being placed in the West (if that is possible).

I think I finally understand...

Step 3 is increasing to 24 clubs next season which explains why the numbers don't add up (I think)

#Attached an Excel spreadsheet listing PPG for all Step 4 clubs from position 11 downwards, also including those clubs in relegation positions.
Two out of the eight37BF3116-E083-4376-AECE-FFBA718C41F6.jpeg Step 4 leagues will be exempt from promotion/relegation play-offs involving clubs third from bottom and (some) Step 5 runners up.
Admittedly a lot of information, but it does illustrate (to some extent) ‘74’s current position.

Currently:
PPG
Prescot Cables .929
Seven Oaks .857
.............................................
Barking .840
Hertford .821
Tadcaster .800
Sutton Common .792
Cinderford .720
Histon .571

Seven Oaks and Prescot avoiding play-offs on present stats.

Witton, Grantham, Nantwich & Hyde all play each other over the comings weeks. (except for Nantwich v Hyde)
Could be fun

It could certainly go some way to determining the likely relegation candidates. My money is still on Grantham and Nantwich though, with Hyde possibly being drawn in to the fray.

A long way to go, but if Grantham were to take the drop, they might be placed in the NPL East, with maybe Sheffield (assuming they got out of trouble themselves) moving West? Chasetown or Belper could move across West if they placed the Gingerbreads in the NPL Midlands ???‍♂️

Hyde have 4 points from 9 so maybe the form team down there?
And 5 points is a decent gap. I'd rather have points rather than games in hand.

As for who moves where..I guess it also depends where the spaces are. With PPG involved some leagues will lose or gain different numbers

Very true.

While the “form” team they are also Managerless. Whether that perversely works in their favour as sometimes these things do ??‍♂️

Wins for Nantwich & Grantham tonight.
Grantham with 3 goals in the last 6 mins

Grantham Town 4
Ricky Miller (6')
Ricky Miller (84' pen)
Ricky Miller (90' pen)
Ricky Miller (90')

Ashton United 3
Cole Lonsdale (17')
Florian Yorsian (27')
Nathan Ntalu (62')

Ashton have lost to Witton & Grantham recently, and thrown away a lead to draw with Nantwich.
Perhaps they might snatch one of the relegation spots

2 down automatically.
And 3rd might go down depending on ppg across step 4.

But obviously on current form NPL West ppg is looking favourable ??

Nantwich V Witton on March 1st is looking huge! If Nantwich beat Grantham this weekend and Witton fail to beat the "away specialists" Stafford, a Nantwich win on March 1st would put some serious distance between them two!
