IMHO, a frank and honest assessment from Graham as to the current position of the Albion. He always strikes me as being a decent guy and I’m sure that his words and thoughts would be echoed by many of his compatriots across the land, including here at 1874.
The worrying thing for fans of the Albion - and I’ve said this many times previously on various forums and to many of their key supporters on an individual basis - given all the huge advantages they’ve had since 2012 when the ‘Green’
Half of town split into two - which includes bring the only club out of the three who have regularly played their home games in the vicinity of the town, the fine facilities they have at WP and the undoubted success of their Junior section - why do they find themselves at such a low ebb in terms of success on the pitch?
By the time next year comes around a whole generation of Albion fans will have grown up without seeing their side play in the First Round of the FA Cup (the last occasion being in 1995) whilst their they’ve only been past the First Round of the FA Trophy twice since 2007, not forgetting that out of the last 27 seasons they’ve played over half at Step 4.
Given this track record, maybe it’s a little more understandable why they have never seemed to have attracted the imagination of the Northwich public.
