NPL Watch 24/25

A good win for Colls at Trafford lifts them out of the bottom 4. And above Witton

Witton, Vics & Winsford in the same league next season? When did that last happen?

Let’s hope we’re not rubbing shoulders with them all too 🫰

But will Winsford accept playing in the Midland league if they go up?.

I don’t think they have publicly said they will but a Winsford fan posted on here the other day saying that the new regime are happy to go into the midlands

They don’t have a choice. I think the FAvwould take a dim view if they declined. After all what is the choice this time? Voluntary relegation would put them out of the NLS🤷‍♂️

Hanley are off the bottom after beating Wyth Ammies
CoL replace them after losing at home to Bootle

Stalybridge visit on Saturday though don’t they🤔👀

Witton are in the relegation spots are a 3-0 defeat to Jon Make ‘s Stalybridge- Jack Irlam with one of the goals

And Widnes are 4 points clear at the top!

Elliot Rokka has left relegation threatened Witton

Find that surprising as I’d always rated him as one of their best players. But from what i gleaned from talking to Albion fans he was a bit of a marmite player with their fans.

But given their recent lack of goals, his departure leaves their firepower department even thinner on the ground.

Didn’t he leave them last season and then return?

I don’t think it’ll happen again.Witton will use the wages saved and look elsewhere I reckon. Although given the budgets in the NPL they may have to scout a little lower and tap into potential rather than proven talent.
