Does anyone have any pictures of the enclosed pitch at Moss Farm in use?
I have had a google but cannot find any.

I know that Winnington Park FC used to play there in the Mid Cheshire League in the 1980's.
I believe that ICI Alkali FC played there before that and used to get big crowds.

I walked around it today - it is in a very sorry state.

Recall the old ICI pitch well, played there several times, a brilliant playing surface that had a full-time employee keeping it in the best condition, did get good crowds and the players usually had "cushy" employment with the ICI Alkali, don't have any photos but do have those pictures in mind !!.

Not been used for a long time. I think there's a changing block /rooms of sorts there as well.

I agree Frank. It was the best playing surface in the area. I remember watching ICI in the old FA Amateur Cup days. Huge crowds. In 1969 I played there for Hartford College against a team from Dole in France, Northwich ‘s twin town, again a large crowd.

It was good, PW, but I reckon Littledales Lane was better. I remember missing a sitter from 3 yards playing for Joseph Parks against MANWEB! We were lucky to have some great pitches in the 70s/80s and Belmont Road !!!!
