Memory Corner Two

I'm slightly shocked to discover Don Cockle was an actual boxer & not a random answer like Billy Cuttlefish
Trouble is, it is my age! He was the great British hope when I was probably 8 fighting against Rocky Marciano. I still remember my disappointment at him getting hammered (and yet, now, i am not in the least bit interested in the "sport").

I agree Richard, during the 60’s and 70’s I would be glued to the radio when the boxing was on, nowadays, I have no interest whatsoever.

If it was a group I would say the 4 preps who sang "I was a big man yesterday", but you only wanted one name - apparently the lead singer was Bruce Belland (could have been Bellend I suppose!) It was covered (much later) by Herman's Hermits (Peter Noone) and Donny Osmonde amongst possibly others.

Next.male singer.
Clue1.Second name.
