Cracking game between 2 good sides and good advert for non league football. Definitely best team we have played this season so far.
We lost because we didn’t take our chances and were a little unfortunate with their second goal. Can’t miss good chances against the better teams . (Or any team really) Longridge are a nice side and play good football along the deck. They have decent fans and a nice ground. Impressed.
Very disappointed by the officials though I thought they were very poor.

A reasonable summary. The officials, however, were not up to the mark. The ref allowed the physical side of the Longridge side to "get away with" far too much and the bookings tally in their favour was a joke. A stone wall penalty in the last minute was. of course, not given and might have resulted in a 2 - 2 draw and a fairer result.

We were definitely worth a draw, thought they were good going forward but all over the place at the back and we had enough chances to have won.
Ref desperately poor and couldn't wait to show cards to us, decent following for a weekday.

Agreed on all points, however, the penalty shout was most definitely correct !, never seen a case where a Goalkeeper who was guilty of "foul" play awarded a free-kick when the opposing player should have been awarded a penalty !!.

We seem to have a knack of easing the pressure after half time and this usually benefits the opposition as happened again last night.

It was a decent performance from us last night. They were a good side but we had the chances to win the game - and if you don't take them in football, that's what happens. Officials were poor but easy to blame them when things don't go your team's way.

That said, we're still in a great position and onwards and upwards and all that...

Correct Frank we had a 25 minute spell after half time where we were all over the place but came on strong again and had good chances to score, don't know if we eased off or they just found their game, should have sealed it first half with the amount of play we had however Tony made 2 great saves to keep them out.
Didn't see their second but sounds like fortune favoured them.
the lads must have been disappointed to come away empty handed but we go again on Saturday weather permitting.

We were going so well until they scored. The goal obviously gave them a help and they took over for 15 mins or so. I don't think we were "all over the show" as they did come on strongly and there running up front was brilliant. I really thought we weathered the storm and came on strong again.

Unlucky not to get at least 2 penalties and some of the bookings were laughable. But again as said before chances need to be taken but fair play to all 14 players they really did give everything but it just wasn't to be.

On this showing both teams will be up there at the end of the season. A great game of football!

See everyone Saturday, hopefully looking at the weather!
