I used to go to New York City quite regularly and contacted NYT about meeting up for a beer as we used to stay in the Helmsley Park Avenue.
Unfortunately he was always busy, on his private jet, weekending in the Hamptons or busy doing other "stuff" to meet up although I suspect that he lived with his mum in Barnton and had his paper round to do.
