Wish Ian well with his new club. Odds on the two of us paired together for the first league fixture of the season or going head to head in the cup in the opening round of the FA cup?

Congleton Town have appointed Ian Street as their new manager...

Funny, as after doing some google maps comparisons, Congleton is a bit further away from where he lives than Winsford is, but I thought travel was an issue?

Anyway, good luck to him...

I image a few that were also previously at Winsford with him previously.

But they will be replaced with better players, as Wayne has already stated.

I'm pretty certain we'll get to keep the players WG and PB want. If any players want to go and play for Congleton, good luck to them I say.

On the optimistic side, what great players that we have lost will make a return?

Such as McGowan rejoining days after Street left, and has since been our best player.

Brian Pritchard appointed assistant & Paul Johnson coach.

I see Neil Chappell has renewed his acquaintance with Streety at Congleton.

He would have been good for us.
Any new signings announced yet not heard of any

Martin Hill was a right sided midfielder we signed from Maine Road a couple of seasons ago.

We tried to play him as a winger & it didn't work. He left after a couple of games to return to Road & then featured heavily when they beat us at home playing in a 4-4-2.
