From next season (2018/19) the Evostik have voted to change their Division 1 from North/South to East/West.

This means that teams promoted from the NWC will join the Evostik D1 West, which basically covers Carlisle to Birmingham and North Wales to the Pennines.

No trips to the North East or Yorkshire for whoever goes up!

They've also been told that the FA will be bringing in changes for promotion at the end of that season. The NWC runner up will go into a playoff with the team placed in the best ranked relegation spot to playoff for the place in the higher level.

There's also some very complicated super playoffs system for promotion from step 3 (Evostik Prem) to the National League North. The Evostik North, South, Central and Bostik league playoff winners will go into another playoff against each other for the one promotion spot.

This East-West split should remove any (misplaced) worries anyone has about potential promotion
