I wonder what this means for AFC Bury, currently top of NWFCL 1st Div North.

Administrator accepts offer for Bury FC

A consortium headed by supporters group Est.1885 enter into a period of exclusivity to buy Bury FC and Gigg Lane.

No details about the consortium or how they’ve raised, what must be a sizeable amount of cash to square off debts and take control of Gigg Lane (which is owned by a third part?). Particularly given they are also a consortium of fans leading the bid (or have I got that wrong?). You do wonder if former “custodians” of the club may still have some involvement somewhere? Maybe I’m not trusting enough ??‍?

A very reasonable and well argued case put forward by AFC. As you’d expect from a true fans run club.
