1874 Northwich In support of Mid Cheshire Foodbank will be holding a collection of food during the first two weeks of March. We are again asking our fantastic supporters to donate to this cause.
Mid Cheshire Foodbank are greatly appreciative of any donations but at present they are needing
Tinned meats and tinned pies
Tea bags in packs of 40
Tinned puddings, jelly, angel delight
Jam
Fruit juice from concentrate
Cordial

Donations can be handed to myself at any time, let me know if you can not get to games.
Our game on 10th March at home to Darwen will be the main collection date but as always we can accommodate your donations at your convenience.

Thanks in anticipation of your usual magnificent support.

Hi All

Just a gentle reminder of the foodbank collection on Saturday. I will also be around on Thursday night if you want to drop donations off then.

Many thanks

Phil Burgess

A huge "Thank you" on behalf of the Mid-Cheshire Foodbank for all your donations this week and particularly to those of you who came to the ground this afternoon, even though we didn't have a match.

This will be delivered to the Foodbank on Monday morning. I will let you know how much it weighs, but can confirm that there is a fantastic selection of foods which are currently in short supply in the Warehouse, and so this will be a great help in meeting the orders this week. Thanks again, Maggie

I would also like to thank our FANtastic supporters for their donations. We will continue to accept donations if you have been unable to get them to us yet.

Much appreciated.
Cheers

Another 12.5kg delivered this morning - Thanks again for your support
Maggie
Just a thought, do we know if local Super Markets have any arrangements with local Foodbanks to supply 'use by' items?

Hi Tony, the foodbank can't give out "out of date" food. If we get any donations past their use by date, we can forward it to other agencies who may be able to use it (within reason).
Several local supermarkets do have permanent donation points in store and others allow us to do collections.

Seems a complete waste of food. Personally see no problem with Supermarkets being allowed to donate out of date food as long as distributed day after and used on same day.

Down here such food goes to homeless shelters for immediate consumption.
