Squad Watch

I think that we ought to be contacting Cheshire Police as it is increasingly clear to me that Scotty has gone missing! ?
Maybe he’borrowed Boris’s freezer????
Whatever posters personal opinions of him and what exactly went on with his move (a debate for another thread of course), you have to say, what a waste of talent and opportunity. If the Macc Management seem intent on not including in the squad (they presumably have their reasons ??‍♂️) why not at least put him out on loan? There must be clubs out there who would be happy to bear some of the cost of his wages in exchange for the opportunity to add to their firepower? It just seems a very strange state of affairs.

It’s almost like they’re hoovering up any player they deem to have some talent just so no one else can have them, rather than any desire to play them.
Edit: would we not have him back or have bridges been burned?

I did say as much earlier in this thread I think Tez

Re Scott

My understanding is that he is (or was about 3 weeks ago) injured, hence probably why no inclusion into the matchday squad. Time will tell if he makes it back to the level he was at.

There was no-one more disappointed than me, as to how Scott left 1874. However, I hope that in time we see beyond that and will all look back at the amazing performances and wonderful goals he scored for our club. At the very least, I will always thank him for the hattrick at Wincham Park in February 2020.

Unfortunately Vicki I missed that one as I was on Leighton having suffered a seizure earlier in the day. On hearing we were two-down I nearly had another one! ??

But yes. Irrespective of what went on that lead to his departure, I’m sure that all 74 fans will have some great memories of the many and amazing goal he scored for us ??

Any update on Harry’s progress and when he might be back in contention for at least a place on the bench?
According to team managers' report in yesterday's 1874 Northwich News ... "Harry is stepping up his rehab/playing time at WD&C now and we spoke the other day about his progress and plan, again we have all agreed to revisit how he feels in the next few weeks.".

PS. Harry will not playing this afternoon, as WD&C match at Barnton has been called off due to 'waterlogged pitch' !!

From the counties website -
2 starts & 2 sub appearances so far.

Scottie on the bench yesterday (unless there are several McGowan's in the squad)

Macc lost yesterday so expect a raft of new players in this week! lol

Maybe even a new Manager ??

if the rumours are true and Macc have put in seven days notice on Doreen.i think the club should be starting a HANDS OFF DOREEN campaign maybe a marketing opportunity for a HANDS OFF DOREEN t-shirt. for the club shop. You have gone to far this time Robbie Savage !!

Not surprising really. But it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Would you have him / want him back??

For me I am happy that we have strikers committed to the club and work hard for the cause..... so would be a no !
