Over the next six days I’m going to play WW2 bingo. Feel free to join in. Just list 100 words or phrases that are linked to Germany and this conflict and tick them off as they appear in the Mail, Sun Express etc.

BTW - sun loungers and towels are not valid as the Krauts hogging these is a post WW2

My list includes ‘Dunkirk Spirit’, Panzers, Adolf, Blitzkreig, Rommel, Colditz, Saurkraut, Bratwurst, ‘The Few’, ‘shot down in flames’, D-Day, Stuka, Douglas Bader, Blitz Spirit and ‘Two world wars and one World Cup’??

What continues to amaze me about Patel is that given her background (i.e. the daughter of a family that fled to the Uk from Amin’s murderous regime in Uganda) and the fact that she has said many times that she was subject to racial abuse on countless occasions, why she seems to have no empathy or connection to those who are either trying to get to the U.K.from oppressive states, have arrived here seeking asylum or are U.K. nationals from the BAME community who regularly have to put up with racist abuse…
