I can't take the credit Stephen (although I'm sure I would have got there in the end!).
The format of the '2 team' combination sweepstake came Peter Grimes as he had run one where he lives for the last world cup. There was also some discussion on the forum a while ago about the possible permutations with 32 teams.

If we had still been struggling then I would have asked the Chairman (as a former maths teacher) to work it out!
 
Or for the linguists amongst us, (1+31)/2 * (31-1+1) ;)

Though I'm a bit woolly on why 31 not 32!
 
Don't worry if you did not get your ticket today for the world cup draw,they will be on sale on Thursday.

Got 5 for me and the family.
Think I came out with the best of the five....Brazil v Russia.

Why are there 5 combinations for the semi final and not 6??

I was struggling with that Alan - cheers! Come on Germany and Mexico:eek:
 
Holland and Italy for my first pick and then France and Ivory Coast for my second........hmmmm......maybe not this time :(
 
We sold about 200 yesterday and from the feedback received quite a few people were disappointed by the teams they drew out.
But you know what that means....there are still lots of good combinations left in so don't miss out by having another go on Thursday!

(Toddy's sales techniques are rubbing off on me!)

i forgot one of the six combinations would actually be the finalists....stupid boy pike!!!
 
When do I find out what I've got, Guy? On the proverbial tenterhooks, and it's getting painful ... :( ;)
