JRFC leafleting my house with match day offers. Things must be desperate but at least their suddenly trying!

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Having to do it all themselves now that Rushe's funny money has dried up.

Is a licence required to post fliers?

Do you like pass the parcel?
Do you want to be left holding a bag of shit ( or a set top box) that turns into a huge debt ( probably much bigger than anyone imagines currently)?
Then hang around the rotting carcass up at Wincham but be careful what you sign!

What does the leaflet say Kit?

My thoughts aswell, Josh.

It is families for a fiver this Saturday. A good idea but shoddily photocopied onto a scrappy piece of paper.

It's funny how they were so certain Uncle Jim had nothing to do with the financing of the club last year!

Worth a go, if the success of the Romulus game where Morrison's employees had free admission is any indicator.

I think that as things are currently we should perhaps put something in the Guardian that ENLIGHTENS the residents of Mid Cheshire to the situation.

I suggest that we wait and see what happens at the end of the Season.

If we start getting to closely involved with JRFC in the Northwich public mind when the next disaster hits JRFC we may be tarred with the same brush.

Lets just keep doing our thing, keep our distance and see what evolves.

Guys,
Consider leafleting by all means. However I have used this method in business with very little result, 1% return on leaflet drops is thought good.
Large companies use it because compared to tv,radio or print it is cheap. However you have to target very effectively and repeat often.
Keep doing what we are doing, word of mouth and good news is the best and most effective publicity you can get.
Spread the word, stay positive and it will come good.
Building a strong brand is a long road.
But we are a good way down that road.

Colin also says why wouldn't the people of Northwich want a club that is run by the fans and is open, honest and transparent and lives within its means.

They already have one in 1874.

(Chatting to a Wittoner this morning in town and he told me that he would be surprised if JRFC finish this month never mind the season although I am sure that it will be everyone elses fault)
I have no doubt that they are trying to live up to Colin's assertion. The latest news on the activities of the con man etc. is that Mr Nuttall has advised the manager of the hostelry conned out of £60 of the following :-

1 There are 10 - 15 similar instances of monies fraudulently secured by NVFC.
2 The con man (no name provided ) was acting on instructions from Jim Rushe and no longer has any connection with NVFC.
3 The intention of NVFC is to repay by cheque the monies obtained by the con man in the next few weeks.

My view is that NVFC should repay the monies in cash asap. However, any cheques issued should be cashed immediately on the off chance that there will be sufficient funds in the NVFC account to honour the debt.

Is that "fraudulently secured by NVFC" or "fraudulently secured in the name of NVFC"? To me what you describe sounds like the latter.

All those years that smug little band of followers were happy to ignore how their club was run, happy to accept that no one watched JRFC as long as they were mates with Jim in their little group. They could have been building bridges 5 years ago with the community creating a foundation for a sustainable future. Too little too late.

If the person obtaining the avert's has no connection with Vics, then why are there a lot more of them in this year's programme than there was last year,a Question that should be asked.

Probably both, but I can only report what the pub manager tells me. It seems strange that Mr. Nuttall seems to know the identity of the con man (who now has no apparent connection with the new regime at NVFC) Quite when the connection was severed is presumably known to Mr. Nuttall, but he does not appear willing to divulge when this was. If NVFC are returning the fraudulently obtained monies, it follows that NVFC must have been in receipt of the monies. However, it is possible that NVFC were unaware of the methods used by the con man when the monies were handed over to them.

If Mr Nuttall acknowledges receipt of these fraudulent obtained monies then reimbursement should be a priority for him to return same to the defrauded persons !!.

I always understood that such activities are criminal and if so the person responsible should be reported to the Police.
