Brilliant souvenirs of the first two seasons. Are we having one for this season just gone?

I asked Brian about this 5 or 6 weeks ago and he said he had not yet got round to writing it. I hope it will not be too long coming!

Our third Annual Season Review went to print last Friday ( hours before its' editor went on holiday!) consequently the reviews were collected from the Printer by Paul earlier this week and will be available from our chairman at all of our pre season friendly games. Soon Nigel Leather will also have a quantity for sale at Level One Computers and for our distant supporters (and others of course) copies can be posted out too from Monday next week.

The price of the reviews remains at £4 and £5 if it is to be posted out.

We may try and put the review in our on line shop too and the price of this will be advised as and when known

Any other enquirers should be directed to Brian Edge at [email protected]

Hope everyone enjoys the read

Just to confirm that the ASR booklet IS now available (at £4) from Level One Computers in Northwich, at our various friendly games and also it can be posted out for an inclusive price of £5.30 - contact Brian Edge on 07711 505414 or email: [email protected]

Got mine and its a fantastic publication again.

Can I just ask a question a couple of things on the results in the middle please....
Sub no15 against AFC Liverpool on 16th sept is shown as Edwards.. this was.way before he joined us, presume that should that be Ledwards.
and the goals in the appearance list show Brandon as 20 and Jackson 14...according to the match reports and goals in centre pages against player names I get Brandon as 19 and Jackson 15.
And the AFC Blackpool result on 10th Oct is showing a 3-4 defeat, which was actually a 4-3 win.
Can someone in the know confirm which of these are correct please.
Like to keep stats (sad I know!), so would just like to know which are correct.

Last edited:
Mike Brandon 5 cup and 14 league goals and 4 friendly goals.
Ryan Jackson 4 cup goals and 11 league goals and 3 friendly goals.

though
Mike Brandon 5 cup and 14 league goals and 4 friendly goals.
Ryan Jackson 4 cup goals and 11 league goals and 3 friendly goals.
Thanks Toddy.
Glad my maths are right and its just a misprint!
Shouldn't that be 4 Cup goals for Brandon and 15 League goals though?

Blackie you are correct,I put one of his goals in the wrong column,I will amend my records..

With reference to the above mistakes in the stats I have now carefully checked all the archive stats.
The mistakes re Edwards/Ledwards as a sub and the wrong score for the Blackpool game are down to me and have been corrected.
With regards to Brandon and Jackson goals I can't explain that completely!! The archive shows the correct goals but I vaguely remember when compiling them that there was a query about those two and it took me ages to find the right totals. I can only assume that as I sent at least one provisional set of figures through before publication so that the type of info available could be assessed that it wasn't the final draft that went to the printers? Whatever Brandon scored 19 and Jackson 15.
Blackie is now about to receive the full set of archive files for all 3 seasons as a reward and, although he may not be aware of this yet, he has just been awarded the job of proof reading all next seasons stats before they go to the printers!!!
If anyone else would like the files please message me with your email address as I don't think I can attach them via the forum. They are excel files that will be more useful as time passes and the history builds and, as time catches up with all of us at some time, it means they can be carried on when I no longer do them.

Cant thank you enough, received the files and much appreciated....and will gladly proof read anything and let you know as and when (or should that be if), I spot anything that doesn't match up if that's ok with you.
Have questioned one more thing with Vicki as its showing this on the original archives too.
Last season v Padiham Oct 3rd...Ryan Stewart shown as no:3 and also as unused sub.
Awaiting reply with anticipation..
I have a lot of catching up to do as I lost all my files when I spilt whisky and lemonade on my laptop and fried my hard drive!! :inpain.
As Ive told Vicki, so annoyed.....it was a full glass!!!.
Seriously though, hours of work lost as I didn't back up!....muppett!!!!:(.

Just checked Gary Clarke''s match report on the club site and Stewart started. I'll check the archive and amend as appropriate the next time I pass the PC.

One thing is for sure our club will have factual records, not like two other clubs I could mention.

Just checked on Chubbs video of the game. Apparently the unused sub v Padiham that day was Stuart Tulloch not Ryan Stewart.
Another good reason for Chubbs wonderful video service. :D:D.
