Some achievement by Northern Ireland qualifying for France tonight and Republic beating the Germans to send the Scots out!!
 
Brilliant victory for Ireland. A month ago it looked as though they might not be qualifying at all. A month later, they're guaranteed a play off spot and have a real chance of automatic qualification. Kudos also to Northern Ireland, who look as though they'll be the smallest country in France next summer, as well as Michael O'Neill, given that questions were raised about him when he first became manager with some of the results he had, but he has done a great job for them this campaign.
 
Well done Northern Ireland, a fantastic achievement. Hopefully Republic of Ireland and Wales can join them.
 
So England, Wales, Northern Ireland and possibly Rep of Ireland too! Hmmnn only one country missing....eh Atticus?!:cool:

I know Wales haven't officially qualified yet but I think they may be able to scrape a draw at least from the mighty Andorra.

Thanks for bringing that one up Chubbs. But yes, it will be another quiet summer for us, apart from watching England make a right royal cock-up of it again and coming home with their tales firmly between their legs.

Last night just sums up being a Scotland fan. Come back from an early goal to take the lead against a very useful Polish side and things all of a sudden seem rosy. Then the Irish produce a result from nowhere to beat the World champs and we concede a goal in the fourth minute of injury time and the combination of the two ends our qualification hopes. You couldn't make it up as no-one would believe you....
 
Am sure Wales will be going no further than the quarters done well to get through the pool though so fair play.

I was being sarcastic Ben.
As for rugby, never had and couldn't give a monkeys. Stupid game with far too many daft rules for the layman. Will never take the place of the beautiful game........... Imo.
