On 28 June 2015 a team consisting of 1874 Northwich supporters and players will enter the 26 mile Great Manchester Cycle event. We are doing this to raise funds for our chosen charity partner for 2015/16 the Neuro Muscular Centre www.nmcentre.com
The centre provides support to people affected by Muscular Dystrophy through physio, training and job opportunities.
Whilst some of our riders are regular cyclists, a number are not and this will be a significant challenge not only on the day, but during the hours of training beforehand.
With your help and generosity our fundraising starts here

A list of all riders will be posted shortly, your support is appreciated.
Thank you

Mods. Can we get this thread pinned and promoted for the next couple of months.
Thanks
Steve

Now pinned.
I'll try and get it a donation button added to the sites as well.

Well done Nathan. The team have now all been registered.

Hi - can I donate using the credit on my mobile phone? I think it is justtextgiving but the fundraising page would need to be set up for it.

Thanks

Looking into this for you Peter.
Will let you know soon.

Its for reasons like this that we are raising funds for @NMCentre.
The Winsford-based charity, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, provides services and specialist advice for adults with muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular conditions.

The NMC also offers adults and young people with muscular dystrophy free training opportunities in Digital Graphic/Web Design.

The project the NMC is aiming to help fund is called ‘Training for students with muscular dystrophy’.

Kay Briggs, graphic design training tutor at the NMC, said “Over the past few months we have struggled with out of date software, slow running computers and lack of funding for a group trip.

“We really need your help to give our students the group trip out, support and equipment that they really deserve.”

Please support #team74 and help kick off our 2015/16 charity link.

Hope you got sorted Brian.:mad::mad:

AA recovery came to the rescue, made it to the vicarage but didn't go in for a pint, honest. Holmes Chapel people very helpfull to a distressed cyclist, especially the nice young lady at Farrell Cleaners, all part of the fun and in a good cause.

Could we create a bit of publicity around Northwich and Winsford by a few of us joining up
and having a training day around the 2 towns. If we publicise the start and finish
it will give people the chance to come forward to offer sponsorship to their person of choice
As the event is in Manchester a bit of local publicity would help show the commitment of team 74 and the charity we are supporting.

Brian,
getting together for a training ride is a great idea, I'm just not sure when.
I'm really busy at work at the moment, So evenings or Sunday's are my only free time. Problem is this Sunday I'm at the Hartford Vets match promoting 1874 in the morning, and its Debs birthday, so that ties me up that day. On the 13th I'm away for a week, so the 20th is my first free day.
However on Sunday 14th its the Northwich Pedal Power cycle festival, any chance that a few of you could do something around that.
Andy, John, Maggie, Nathan and the other local riders.Any thoughts!!
In the mean time can I ask our great supporters not to forget us, I know its not football season, but #team74 are working hard to raise funds for the NMC and promote 1874Northwich at the same time.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve.

I will need a helmet, if you can help that would be great. With regard to promoting our participation prior to the event I will call and see you to discuss further when out training one day.
